Standard Loading, Sample in Vacuum

JanisULT has improved on its cryogen-free helium-3 cryostat design for cooling samples in vacuum.  Model HE-3-SSV-PT-2 utilizes the additional cooling power from the regenerator to pre-cool the He-3 gas before it is liquefied.  The condensing efficiency is substantially enhanced with this novel design, resulting in a longer hold time.

Top-loading, sample in exchange gas

Top-loading, cryogen-free Helium-3 cryostat with sample located in exchange gas.  This system was specifically developed for high pressure diamond anvil cell (DAC), but can be used for other experiments that require cooling down samples below 1.0 K in exchange gas.

Multi-function cryogen-free helium-3 cryostat with sample in either vacuum or Helium-3 exchange gas.  This system is configured for neutron scattering, but the design may easily be adapted to other applications.  This versatile design includes two high pressure gas lines for potential addition of a diamond anvil cell, or for the study of gas samples.

Cryostat for Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES).  The system can be operated in three distinct modes:  He-4, 1 K operation, or JT operation.

The JanisULT dry sub-K cryostat for ARPES is a conventient multi-functional tool, suitable for a wide range of research applications. The system offers researchers the means to achieve sub-K temperatures in ARPES configuration, temperatures as low as 300 mK with beam slits closed, as well as high cooling power and unlimited experimental duration.
